I'm Dr. Heather Daniel, an education leader and communications strategist focused on the intersection of leadership, communication, and generative AI.

My work sits where strategy meets people, and where clarity, trust, and thoughtful decision-making matter most.

In practice, I lead communication work in a large, diverse public school district, designing systems that support alignment, access, and engagement across the organization. Through research and practice, I examine how superintendents and system-level leaders engage with generative AI and complex decision-making in real-world contexts.

Across both roles, I return to the same core question: how leaders maintain voice, build trust, and lead with intention in moments of change.

I am also a contributor to AASA Schools of Thought, where I write about communication, leadership practice, and systems-level thinking in public education.
