I’m Heather Daniel, an education leader, communications strategist, and doctoral researcher focused on the intersection of leadership, communication, and generative AI. 

My work is centered where strategy meets people and where clarity, trust, and thoughtful decision-making matter most.

In practice, I lead communication work in a large, diverse public school district. Through research, I explore how superintendents and system-level leaders engage with emerging AI and complex decision-making as part of my doctoral work. Across both roles, I am interested in the same core question: how leaders maintain voice, build trust, and lead with intention in moments of change.

I am also a regular contributor to AASA Schools of Thought, where I write about communication, leadership practice, and systems-level thinking in public education.

LEADConnected is where that thinking comes together. This space is for reflection, writing, and conversation about leadership as it is actually practiced through communication, strategy, and human judgment.
